Tropico 6 added multiple islands to the pile, which as Alec Meer pointed out makes. They have changed, obviously, especially when 5 introduced multiplayer, and a new era-based structure. But my complaint, see, my complaint is that they haven't changed enough. I haven't played it but I'm guessing some of the pirate themed DLC for one of the newer games (I forget which one and the DLC name) is perhaps a test to see how well it's recieved and if there's a market for a remake so who know. Tropico has carried that torch for 20 years, and they've got better with each release. Hopefully Kalypso will do something with the franchise at some point as there's so much potential with the game theme, unfortunately I fear they'd dumb it down too much and lose a lot of the charm the original had so it's maybe best it's left as is. If you have a look you might find some on some older Tropic forums\fan sites but last I saw most of them were long closed down. To get to it: In your Steam library right click Tropico 2 > choose 'Browse local files' > from that list of files scroll down to the 'Tropico2' files (the first Tropico2 file should say 'application' on the right side of that list, the second Tropico2 file should say 'configuration' on the right side of that list) > double-click the second. Gameplay Though much of it is based on the original Tropico, the gameplay is very different. Tropico 2 was developed by Frog City Software and published by Gathering of Developers for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. If my memory is correct there were some user created scenarios for Tropico 2 floating around back in the day but I've not seen them available for download anywhere for several years. Released ApRatings ESRB: Teen Tropico 2: Pirate Cove is the 2003 sequel to the computer game Tropico. Kalypso only really did anything with the franchise starting with Tropico 3 onwards, they've never done anything with the original two games apart from re-publish them (and the add-on for Tropico 1) as far as I know. It was part of the Tropico Franchise when it was originally published by PopTop software before they merged with Firaxis and I guess at that point Kalypso got the franchise from them. Afraid not, the original developers (Frog City Software) closed down about 9 years ago.
